BOLO on stolen property leads Illinois police to car burglary suspect

“I received an email from LeadsOnline about a `Hit`. The offender brought in items that were reported stolen from a vehicle burglary. I then checked the suspect’s activity through LeadsOnline to see if he pawned anything else. There was an iPhone, but there were no reports of any thefts or burglaries where an iPhone was stolen. I then contacted Apple Security and gave them the Serial number. With that serial number, Apple contacted the registered owner of the device and advised them to contact me. The owner advised that sometime in August or September the iPhone was stolen from her parked vehicle, but she never reported it.”
