“A Shreveport resident called me in my office in reference to a theft that occurred at his home. The victim explained that his cousin came to his residence to borrow some money. When the victim went into another room of the residence, his cousin collected several items belonging to the victim, and fled. The victim called me after hearing the suspect pawned one of the items, an Xbox 360 and its peripherals, at a local pawn shop; however, he was unable to provide the serial number for the items. Using the LeadsOnline database, I was able to research the suspect’s information to determine the suspect pawned the items reported stolen, around the time the theft occurred. Having this information, the police department’s pawn investigator, Detective Courtney responded to the business in an effort to verify the items pawned belonged to the victim. Det. Courtney was able to verify descriptive information exclusive to the victim’s video game console, corroborating information the victim provided. The items pawned were placed on hold with the pawn shop, and a warrant was obtained for the suspect’s arrest. A Caddo Parish District Court Judge signed a warrant charging the suspect with one count of Felony Theft and the suspect was arrested. Thanks LeadsOnline!”
