“I was working a theft of jewelry case that occurred in a nursing home, and one of the elderly victims mentioned a housekeeping employee that she thought acted suspiciously around the times of the thefts. I had no other leads in the case and had no serial numbers to run on LeadsOnline, but I decided to run the name of the employee. I received multiple recent hits on her pawning jewelry and at least one of the jewelry items was a good enough description to make a match on paper, so I went and recovered three pieces of jewelry that a victim confirmed were hers and was able to obtain an arrest warrant on the housekeeping employee to file the case.
