Michigan police solve more part 1 crimes with online database

“Clinton Township Police has been using LeadsOnline since February 2012. Since that time we have obtained 10 felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant using Leads. Clinton Police have recovered four stolen guns and recovered stolen property from a neighboring community. We require, by ordinance, that stores take pictures of jewelry they buy. Using the picture, a victim was able to identify her jewelry even though it was melted down after the required hold time by the store. A warrant was obtained for the suspect in that case. Best of all, the department has made the storing and retrieval of pawn slips much more efficient, and at a minimal cost.”
