“I was investigating a theft of yard equipment without finding the property. I was using the serial number search method and had saved the search for a few days. I then searched by make of the property and noticed that similar items of the same model type had serial numbers that started with ‘s’ instead of ‘5’. I changed the serial number for a search from ‘5’ to ‘s’ and located the stolen item.
