“While searching for a forgery suspect and waiting for a warrant, I found he sold several stolen items at a business that was four hours from us. That night, we received more information on stolen property from a bordering state, and those items matched some of the items the suspect sold. After contacting the agency and explaining to them where the items were and who sold them, they successfully prosecuted the suspect for burglary. He is still awaiting trial on the forgery case.”
