Police use LeadsOnline to locate suspect in $166,000 theft from coin shop

“I received a complaint from the owner of a local coin shop in reference to jewelry stolen from the business. According to management, a recent inventory was conducted, resulting in locating over $166,000 worth of jewelry missing. During the investigation it was determined that a prior employee was a person of interest. I learned that over the past few months the former employee had been frequenting the store. On each visit, she would ask to use the upstairs restroom where the jewelry was stored. At this point, the first investigative tool used was LeadsOnline. The LeadsOnline search resulted in locating over $10,000 worth of stolen jewelry. The stolen jewelry was then recovered and returned to the business. Based on the LeadsOnline search, a warrant was issued for the suspect.”
