Two suspects caught, sentenced to 10 and 20 years

“I was assigned a Burglary and Break/Enter to a home and storage building. A Craftsman lawn mower was taken sometime between 1/21/10 and 2/2/10, when the thefts were discovered. I checked our local pawn shops for this date range for a Craftsman mower and found where one had been pawned on 1/27/10 (not the season for push mowers). I was able to determine it was in fact the mower of my victim, an elderly man. I was able to interview the person who pawned the mower and the results were a full confession to more than $1,000 of additional property that was taken — that the victim didn’t even realize. In addition, an additional suspect was identified and also gave a confession. One is now serving 10 years and the other 20 years, thanks to finding my mower using LeadsOnline. Thanks for a great Law Enforcement tool.”
