Stolen flute recovered with serial number

“While investigating a residential breaking and entering case, I located transaction records of a serial number connected to a stolen Yamaha flute. The shop in Greensboro, N.C. was contacted, and I learned the business still had the stolen flute. Once I responded to the shop, I learned several other stolen items (from this same case) were sold there as well. We recovered the flute along with an Xbox game console, and several games. The property was worth over $2,600, and we recovered it with the help of LeadsOnline. Thanks!”

Multiple crimes solved in first month with LeadsOnline

“We have only had LeadsOnline for about three weeks, but already have been able to recover property for victims, and develop suspects in cases that we may not have. Our system prior to this was usually about two months behind getting entered into the database. The feature I love is being able to save the searches and be notified when one of our known burglars pawns something. Thanks for a great system, that’s cop friendly”.””

Investigators share information via LeadsOnline in cross jurisdictional investigation

“A suspect was arrested and confessed to several car dealership burglaries where he targeted the safes. After making bond, he vanished. He was flagged as a person of interest in LeadsOnline at that time. Seven months later, I received pawn hits on this subject near the Mexico border. Those law enforcement agencies were notified of the pawn hit and also of his background regarding dealership burglaries. They advised that they had several car dealership burglaries over the last few months and the m.o. was identical to this same individual. They were able to track this subject down and arrest him on several outstanding warrants. He subsequently confessed to dealership burglaries in that area as well. His whereabouts would still be unknown had he not been flagged as a person of interest in LeadsOnline.”

Good guys finish first with LeadsOnline

“I was investigating a theft from a mobile home. The suspect decided to move out without telling the owner of the property. The suspect also decided to take the brand new refrigerator and stove with him. I guess he needed some extra cash. I ran the guy’s name in your system and lo and behold there he was. He pawned the fridge and stove for a total of $100 (original cost was $1100). Obtained warrant! Good guys one, bad guys none! Thanks LeadsOnline!”

“During my 30-day free trial with LeadsOnline, a citizen entered my office in reference to reporting her watch stolen. She gave me the type of watch and the name of a suspect. I entered the information in the LeadsOnline database and presto! I got his picture, a picture of the watch, the location where it was sold, and a copy of his driver’s license. This case was solved in less than 10 minutes. Now that’s technology at its best. I recommend LeadsOnline to all law enforcement agencies!”

Evidence for 19 criminal charges on three suspects

“After a burglary was charged out, and the prosecutor’s office declined to prosecute it, I was assigned to re-investigate the case. I checked all persons in the case through LeadsOnline and found that the TV taken in the burglary had been pawned. I recovered the television, completed the investigation and requested a total of 19 criminal charges on the three individuals involved. None of that would have happened if I had not found the television using LeadsOnline.”

Retirement community security guard burglarizes residents

“I was assigned a case where jewelry was being stolen out of residences’ at a retirement community. After talking to management and questioning people who had access to the residences, I completed a search on LeadsOnline and developed a good suspect. I made contact with management of the retirement community and questioned them about the individual. Management advised the individual was an employee of the retirement community who worked as a security guard and had access to all of the residences at the facility. Management had left off the individual because they did not think about the security guard position when they gave me a list of the employees that I wanted to question. The security guards at the facility get alerts when residents go out of town and request their residences to be checked while they are gone or request not to check the residence when they are out of town. The security guard would get a list of the residences where the homeowners were out of town and would then commit burglaries to the residences. After a LeadsOnline search, I was able to recover large amounts of stolen jewelry and a large coin collection that was stolen by the suspect. The suspect was interviewed and confessed to all of the burglaries. Without LeadsOnline, I would not have been able to identify the suspect and later be able to recover the stolen items. Thanks again LeadsOnline for all your help!!!”

Police prove victim’s suspicion to be legitimate with evidence from LeadsOnline

“I took a Theft of Property report where several Dewalt drills, chargers and their batteries were taken from a business. The victim had one suspect, but he wasn’t really sure because he only had personal suspicions. I entered my case number and began working my case with LeadsOnline, and BOOM! There were some of the drills, among other items that were pawned by the suspect at two different pawn shops down the street from each other. I obtained a felony warrant – case closed. Very cool!”

Citizen grateful after Sheriff Deputy rushes to find stolen sentimental gifts 50 miles away

“LeadsOnline has dramatically increased our theft case solving rate in just the short time that we have been utilizing it. The latest case involved a theft at a women’s residence where several electronics device had been stolen. We later found out that they had been gifts from her mother who had passed away and meant more to her than a simple dollar amount. We were able to locate the items at a pawn store 50 miles away along with a store photograph of the suspect and their driver’s license. This person will be prosecuted. The woman will receive her items back and showed an overwhelming gratitude for our efforts. This case and many others like it would not be possible without this great tool.”

LeadsOnline solves old cases in addition to new

“I am a new user of LeadsOnline. As a part of my team, I am tasked with burglary follow-up. The first day I gained access to LeadsOnline, I went through some of my old cases that were piling up on my desk. I found several that contained item serial numbers. The first one I tried was for a stolen Xbox. I received a hit that it had been sold in a nearby city. I am still actively working the case, but now have new suspects leads to follow-up on.”

Valuable crime-solving tool in action

“In 2011, I had a burglary case where I identified a suspect and used LeadsOnline to check the local pawn shops after the burglary. I found the suspect pawned a ring at a local shop days after the burglary. I printed the photo of the suspect and a ring that was pawned. I showed the reporting party a picture of the ring, and she identified the ring to be hers. I then tracked down the suspect, and the suspect was arrested for pawning stolen property and for burglary. The suspect was later convicted of both counts. I found that LeadsOnline is an excellent tool to use, and I recommend it to all law enforcement agencies.”

1 click + a few keystrokes in Montgomery County = Click Click BOOM!

“I took a report for a stolen camera and with the click of the mouse and a few keystrokes, BOOM there was my stolen camera and lens that had been sold in a neighboring jurisdiction. A phone call later and a visit to the shop I had my camera returned to the owner and all the information on my suspect. I can stress enough how user friendly LeadsOnline is and the smile on my victims face and their praise for a job well done is always welcomed. Rapid search helps Oregon detective solve numerous burglaries

“I recently cleared two burglary cases because of LeadsOnline. I had two burglary incidents in the same small town reported over a 10-day span. I searched LeadsOnline for the stolen property my victim reported and confirmed the pawner was a person of interest in the case making him the hands down suspect. The suspect identified with LeadsOnline made statements to witnesses that were eerily the same as statements the suspect made in my other burglary case. A photo line up was created, and the suspect found on LeadsOnline was identified as the suspect my first victim caught in the act. Because LeadsOnline is so easy to use and full of great info, I was able to clear two cases (arrest warrant pending on suspect) and thousands of dollars in property was returned to my victim. Thank you LeadsOnline!”

Harris County Sheriff’s Office shares about multiple cases closed using LeadsOnline

“I was contacted by Russell and he asked if LeadsOnline has benefitted my agency. I told Russell that it has been awesome and has helped us clear out quite a few cases in the 10 months I have been using it. LeadsOnline has become a go-to tool in burglary cases and has paid off tremendously. My first success with LeadsOnline was a burglary of a habitation in which the suspect destroyed an automatic gate to make entry to the back of the home and did significant damage to the back door. The suspect sold the stolen bicycle which we were able to recover. At this point we ran him through LeadsOnline, and were able to link him and his buddy to several burglaries in the area.

LeadsOnline proves value in solving costly motor vehicle burglaries

“Since the acquisition of the Leads program, I have been able to consistently locate stolen property with relative ease. My latest success story is the clearance of a four-month crime spree in Atascocita, TX with over 61 cases. I was able to locate a suspect who had pawned property. Based on this lead, I interviewed him and his associates and obtained confessions on 61 counts of burglary of a motor vehicle and file 18 felony counts and 1 misdemeanor. 10 defendants were charged. LeadsOnline has taken us out of the dark ages and given us the upper hand. My only complaint now is the pawn shops that are holding out.”

Daughter with drug addiction breaks into father’s basement to steal valuables

“A recent theft from an elderly male’s home where their daughter is a drug user and has been abusing her father for quite some time now. She has sold many of his items throughout the years and prior to having access to LeadsOnline, cases always hit dead ends. She took it to the extreme once they cut her off. Thief makes rookie mistakes resulting in arrest

“I am supervisor of the Crime Analysis Unit at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office. In March, a black male entered a business. The suspect went straight to the electronics department where he attempted to remove several iPads from the displays unsuccessfully. He then took a tool from his clothing and removed 3 iPhones from the displays, concealed them in his pants, and left the store without paying. On the same day beginning at a different time. The same black male and another black male subject went to the EcoATM located at the Santa Rosa Mall in Mary Esther, Okaloosa County, FL (adjoining county) where they placed the 3 stolen iPhones in the Kiosk and in return received $159. The serial numbers matched the stolen phones. The male suspect who stole the phones from the business had on the same clothing and necklace that was seen in both video surveillances from the business and the photographs taken from the EcoATM.”
