Sweet tea, sweet guitar, sweet recovery and sweet justice in North Carolina

“An older man’s vehicle broke down and two good Samaritans volunteered to help him fix it. While at the old man’s house, one of the individuals used the restroom and the man went to make some sweet tea for the two guys helping him. Police investigators find stolen property in Ohio pawnshops

“I was working an investigation for a breaking and entering case with thefts of lawn maintenance products. There were no leads to work with and no serial numbers for any of the property. With LeadsOnline I was not only able to locate all of the property, but as result of this information, we were able to obtain a confession of a previously-unknown co-conspirator. He gave up his partner who pawned the items! Cha-Ching! While tracking down pawn history of a newly obtained suspect developed through LeadsOnline, I found an item of property that hadn’t even been reported stolen to us yet, and subsequently will have breaking and entering and theft charges against the suspect and conspirator before the paper is even taken!”

LeadsOnline tutorial highlights feature that gets the case solved

“I recently went through a tutorial with the LeadsOnline Support staff and was able to learn some things that have proved to be helpful, including the Person of Interest table. A junior Investigator and I were assigned a case involving some stolen chainsaws from a local Volunteer Fire Department. After obtaining the serial numbers for one of the chainsaws, we created a Person of Interest profile for one of our main suspects. Within hours we were able to confirm the serial number on the chainsaw and also learned that it was currently in a business outside of our jurisdiction and our main suspect was the one who had sold the chain saw. This later led to an immediate arrest of the suspect and a confession as to where the other chainsaws were located. Had it not been for LeadsOnline and their support staff, we would have had more difficulty closing this case.”

One hit on LeadsOnline led to 14 warrants between 2 suspects

“Recently, I entered in the serial number for an iPad stolen from a vehicle at the hospital. By the next morning I received a hit on the stolen item via email while at my house. I was able to place a hold on the item and hit the ground running when I returned to work on Monday morning. I then received fingerprint hits on one of the two vehicles broken into, and it just so happened to be the brother of the suspect that sold the stolen iPad. I ran the brother’s name in LeadsOnline upon getting the fingerprint hit, and was then able to confirm that he sold a GPS from the victim. Both items have been recovered and a total of 14 warrants were signed between the two brothers for all they had stolen and the damages that were done! The initial hit on the iPad gave me a great head start going into the week and hopefully they can be arrested before this weekend so that they do not return to victimize more people parked at the hospital! Thank you!”

Five arrested for more than 20 burglaries in three cities

“I have used LeadsOnline on numerous occasions with great results. The information I have obtained has led to the arrest of numerous subjects for scrap theft and helped seal the deal in a $250,000 copper wire theft. Our department’s latest success comes from the arrest of five subjects who broke into 16 residences in the southeastern part of Union County. The subjects stole numerous televisions and firearms from the residences. At the time of the reports, we were looking for subjects from the area of the crime, but had no luck. I logged into LeadsOnline and searched for the stolen property. On my first search, I immediately got a hit on a subject from El Dorado, Arkansas who sold stolen property to a business in Camden, Arkansas. When I pulled up the ticket I noticed the subject sold three items that matched what was reported stolen, along with a Matthew’s Compound Bow that was also stolen. The victims were immediately able to identify the items as theirs. Upon interviewing the first subject, he gave me the names of the other four who were involved. We were able to arrest all five of the subjects. We not only cleared 16 burglaries in our jurisdiction, but three burglaries in Ouachita County and three burglaries and six vehicle breaking and enterings in Magnolia, Arkansas. Thank you for your help!”

Got some free time? Solve some cases

“I am a relatively new user of LeadsOnline and still exploring all of the features. On an afternoon when I found some free time, I was searching NCIC hits. In a matter of one half hour, I located a chain saw and Microsoft MP3 player that appeared to have been stolen from two agencies in our area. This seemed way too simple, punch a couple keys find stolen items …. so I called Erin at LeadsOnline to make sure I was correct. She helped me confirm that these were good hits. (Thanks Erin, you are always so helpful … Go Packers!)
