Restoring hope to the elderly by returning stolen property

“I investigated a burglary for an elderly gentleman and had no suspects, no leads and poor information about the stolen property. I checked LeadsOnline for the one stolen item I did have and found information on some of the reported stolen property as well as on some items which were not reported. The persons of interest were interviewed and gave a full confession. Two arrests were made as a result of LeadsOnline. I was able to return some valuables back to the elderly male which he thought he would never see again.”

Five arrested for more than 20 burglaries in three cities

“I have used LeadsOnline on numerous occasions with great results. The information I have obtained has led to the arrest of numerous subjects for scrap theft and helped seal the deal in a $250,000 copper wire theft. Our department’s latest success comes from the arrest of five subjects who broke into 16 residences in the southeastern part of Union County. The subjects stole numerous televisions and firearms from the residences. At the time of the reports, we were looking for subjects from the area of the crime, but had no luck. I logged into LeadsOnline and searched for the stolen property. On my first search, I immediately got a hit on a subject from El Dorado, Arkansas who sold stolen property to a business in Camden, Arkansas. When I pulled up the ticket I noticed the subject sold three items that matched what was reported stolen, along with a Matthew’s Compound Bow that was also stolen. The victims were immediately able to identify the items as theirs. Upon interviewing the first subject, he gave me the names of the other four who were involved. We were able to arrest all five of the subjects. We not only cleared 16 burglaries in our jurisdiction, but three burglaries in Ouachita County and three burglaries and six vehicle breaking and enterings in Magnolia, Arkansas. Thank you for your help!”

One hit on LeadsOnline led to 14 warrants between 2 suspects

“Recently, I entered in the serial number for an iPad stolen from a vehicle at the hospital. By the next morning I received a hit on the stolen item via email while at my house. I was able to place a hold on the item and hit the ground running when I returned to work on Monday morning. I then received fingerprint hits on one of the two vehicles broken into, and it just so happened to be the brother of the suspect that sold the stolen iPad. I ran the brother’s name in LeadsOnline upon getting the fingerprint hit, and was then able to confirm that he sold a GPS from the victim. Both items have been recovered and a total of 14 warrants were signed between the two brothers for all they had stolen and the damages that were done! The initial hit on the iPad gave me a great head start going into the week and hopefully they can be arrested before this weekend so that they do not return to victimize more people parked at the hospital! Thank you!”

Smile! You’re on camera

“Two local businesses in town had an employee on camera steal $850.00 in power tools in April. The employee came to work at the end of April and was taken into custody. That same day, I checked LeadsOnline, which revealed he had sold the exact tools at a local business on the date of the theft. I went to the local business with a confiscation report and took possession of the stolen tools. Thanks to LeadsOnline, the offender was charged and tools returned to the owners. LeadsOnline tutorial highlights feature that gets the case solved

“I recently went through a tutorial with the LeadsOnline Support staff and was able to learn some things that have proved to be helpful, including the Person of Interest table. A junior Investigator and I were assigned a case involving some stolen chainsaws from a local Volunteer Fire Department. After obtaining the serial numbers for one of the chainsaws, we created a Person of Interest profile for one of our main suspects. Within hours we were able to confirm the serial number on the chainsaw and also learned that it was currently in a business outside of our jurisdiction and our main suspect was the one who had sold the chain saw. This later led to an immediate arrest of the suspect and a confession as to where the other chainsaws were located. Had it not been for LeadsOnline and their support staff, we would have had more difficulty closing this case.”

LeadsOnline helps Investigator make multiple charges

“I had a suspect in custody and was questioning him about a stolen vehicle which contained stolen law enforcement items from a vehicle break-in. He denied having any knowledge of the law enforcement items in the vehicle. While doing the arrest paperwork, I decided to research him on LeadsOnline. I found that he had just sold a law enforcement taser that was part of the stolen items taken from the law enforcement vehicle. Needless to say, he was charged accordingly. It was a huge success because I was able to prove that he lied to me and it allowed me to go more in depth with the investigation and make multiple more charges because of LeadsOnline. Thank you!”

Got some free time? Solve some cases

“I am a relatively new user of LeadsOnline and still exploring all of the features. On an afternoon when I found some free time, I was searching NCIC hits. In a matter of one half hour, I located a chain saw and Microsoft MP3 player that appeared to have been stolen from two agencies in our area. This seemed way too simple, punch a couple keys find stolen items …. so I called Erin at LeadsOnline to make sure I was correct. She helped me confirm that these were good hits. (Thanks Erin, you are always so helpful … Go Packers!) I notified the agencies, who by the way are not LeadsOnline users, and although these aren’t huge cases, the owners will be happy to be reunited with their property.”

Property recovered across multiple jurisdictions

“Road patrol called me in reference to a residential burglary. While speaking with the owners of the residence, the deputy picked up on several clues that indicated that the person the interest was possibly going to be a relative. The items taken from the residence were mostly chainsaws and wood working items, along with ladies’ jewelry. Checkbook thief gets checked into jail

“Toward the end of last year, we were being swarmed with vehicle break-ins in our area and had no suspect descriptions. My only lead was one vehicle that had a checkbook stolen out of it and I was later able to pull up a picture of the guy who tried to cash one of the checks at a local bank branch. After randomly looking through LeadsOnline for similar property that had been stolen from the break-ins, I noticed a female that had turned an iPhone in at one of the local EcoATM’s. Low and behold, she was on camera standing next to a guy who greatly resembled the same one that was on camera at the bank.
