Selling stolen property is the easiest way to get caught when LeadsOnline is involved

“I was investigating a burglary to a residence where numerous items were stolen. I contacted an investigator within our department and requested for them to conduct a search in LeadsOnline of any sold items for the suspect I had. After searching the name, it was discovered he recently sold two of the items that were stolen and he was apprehended later that morning.”

LeadsOnline catches even the sneakiest suspects

“A victim reported a burglary to Delhi Township Police Department The victim’s tools were stolen from the basement of a two family house where he resides. The victim suspected guests of the other tenant. Through investigation and LeadsOnline, we located the victim’s stolen tools. The main suspect in the case never sold anything in his name. The suspect asked his mother and cousin to sell the items in their name instead of his own. The store video was obtained, and the main suspect is seen on the video with the other people who sold the tools. Charges were pressed against all of them, but without LeadsOnline it is doubtful the stolen tools would have been located since the suspect we were looking at didn’t actually sell the items.”

A couple of New Hampshire police solve a couple of burglaries by a couple

“We had a burglary where several items were taken. By using LeadsOnline, we were able to quickly identify the items pawned and pull the video from the businesses. We had a prime suspect who was a male, but found that it was a woman who had pawned the items. By using Leads, we were able to track down the business, pull the video, and see our prime suspect standing behind the woman while negotiating prices. He has been a suspect in several burglaries in the past, but this was the first one we were able to find enough evidence to charge him. He has since been indicted for this burglary. What an amazing tool!”

El Paso, Texas precious metals burglary solved with LeadsOnline

“El Paso Police were investigating a burglary of habitation. Witnesses reported seeing a suspect hanging around the area just before the burglary. Witness description led officers and detectives repeat offenders that strongly matched the description given by witnesses. Upon checking LeadsOnline for pawn history on these suspects, it was discovered that one particular suspect had pawned a distinct and rare ring which had been pawned on the day of the burglary. Because the ring was so rare, the victim was able to identify the ring as one of the items taken from the burglary. Thanks to LeadsOnline, we have put a repeat burglar away, AGAIN!!”

Video game theft lands villain in jail

“I was recently sent to our Super Target store where a known subject had stolen approximately $500 worth of various video games. I didn’t observe any activity for the known thief, but I was able to locate a transaction with the exact same stolen video games sold by a female who was later determined to be on the same surveillance footage. The female was later apprehended and confessed to her involvement, which ultimately lead to the implication of a previously unidentified co-conspirator, as well as admissions to numerous other retail thefts in the area. LeadsOnline opens the door to suspect

“Thanks, LeadsOnline, I was searching for a suspect and all I had was the phone number that the suspect had used. I search the phone number in several sites without success. LeadsOnline was my last site to check. In fact, I started to NOT check LeadsOnline because I was unsuccessful on the other sites; however, I checked anyway. Turns out it was the site that open the door to my suspect. Awesome! My suspect used the phone number when he sold the items he had stolen. No other site provided information on the suspect, BUT LeadsOnline provided his name, address, and of course the phone number, which allowed me to dig deeper and I was successful in locating this suspect. Thanks, LeadsOnline. You rock.”

Automated alerts helped this Illinois department solve two cases in one

“This summer our agency experienced a theft at a local video game store where the offender distracted the clerk and walked out with a video gaming system. We obtained the serial number of the gaming system and entered it into LeadsOnline to monitor local businesses for transactions. The next morning my detective came into work and had an alert from LeadsOnline indicating that the item was sold. The offender was identified because the business took a photo of the stolen item as well as the offenders ID. Upon identifying the offender he was tied into another theft case based on information developed through LeadsOnline. The offender was subsequently charged in both circumstances and the property was recovered. Without LeadsOnline no suspect information would have been available and the cases would have remained open.”

LeadsOnline helps identify burglary suspect targeting vehicles

“While looking into a large number of thefts from vehicles, I looked at the recent pawn shop transactions using LeadsOnline. I noticed an 18-year-old kid sold two GPS units to a local secondhand shop. The suspect had no local activity and recently moved into the city. Three cases cleared in one week with the help of LeadsOnline

“A saddle, along with some other items, were stolen at a ranch in Maverick County. The information was entered into the LeadOnline program, thus resulting in the recovery of the saddle the following day. I went to photograph the saddle and showed the photograph to the victim who immediately identified the saddle. A couple days later, a generator was reported stolen. I searched the word generator in the system, and found where a suspect pawned a generator. I photographed the generator and showed it to the victim. The victim identified the generator as his. During that same time period, a laptop that was stolen was also pawned by this person. The laptop was recovered and returned to another victim. I then contacted the owner of the construction company and received names of the employees that were on the job site around the time these items were taken. Multiple jewelry burglaries solved via LeadsOnline

“I just wanted to share a story of a number of recent burglaries that have occurred in our city (Pharr, Texas) targeting Winter Texan trailer parks. Numerous burglaries were reported in the past few months and with very little leads. A couple of weeks ago I received information of a possible female suspect scene leaving the area on a bike from a crime scene. I recalled an elderly female that was residing in our city that was always on a bike and a suspect to a theft of a wallet in a trailer park. I immediately ran the name of the female on LeadsOnline and found that she had pawned off a number of pieces of jewelry to a pawn shop in our city. I assigned the cases and all the information I had on this suspect to Inv. Quilantan. He immediately went to the pawn shop and placed a hold on the items and photographed them. Five burglaries were solved that day including one where over $30,000 worth of jewelry was taken by this female. The female was picked up within a day and gave a confession on all the burglaries she committed in our city and one in Weslaco, Texas. LeadsOnline has still shown our department to be an excellent tool in solving crimes. I would like to thank you guys and the good work done by my investigator (Juan Quilantan).”

Suspect denies crimes, but LeadsOnline proves otherwise

“LeadsOnline was instrumental in the arrest of a burglary suspect. We had previously interviewed the suspect who was denying involvement in the crime. We let him go and continued the investigation. Using LeadsOnline, we found out that he had pawned a lady’s ring two towns over. We obtained a detailed description of the ring from the victim and went to examine the pawned ring. The ring was identical to the one described by the victim. We took possession of the ring and the elderly victim was able to positively identify it as being her mother’s 50th anniversary wedding ring. Using the information that we now had we were able to elicit a confession for the burglary from a previously uncooperative suspect. When faced with the evidence that LeadsOnline provided us we were able get a confession and the victim was able to recover a family heirloom.”

Pow! Property crime solved in a matter of seconds

“How is this for a testimonial? After convincing my administrators on how useful a tool that LeadsOnline would be to our Investigation Division, we finally opened and started a new account. As I was going through my tutorial, I used the name of a suspect from a case sitting on my desk. I have the suspect in custody, but I was still missing some property. So I entered that suspect’s name to use as a training tool and POW! there are two missing pieces of property at a pawn shop in a neighboring city. How is that for effectiveness? Solid intel, solid bust – suspect identified same day

“Officers responded to a burglary of a residence. Upon arrival, the officers identified that the homeowner left his residence between 9:30 – 9:40 a.m. and returned around the time of the call at 6:30 p.m. When the homeowner arrived home, they noticed someone had kicked in the backdoor of the residence and had stolen a Nintendo gaming system, NABI tablet and various pieces of jewelry. Officers processed the scene and a report was taken. When I arrived on scene I asked the initial responding officers if there were any possible suspects and I was advised that the homeowners noticed a male subject near their house just prior to them leaving for work. I logged onto Leads Online to conduct a search. While reviewing the results, a name of a known offender within our community popped up and showed recent activity, as recent as 11:30 a.m. on the same day of the burglary. The items pawned were identified as those stolen from the residence. Through LeadsOnline, we were able to show that only an hour and a half to two hours passed between when we knew the residence was secure to when the suspect was pawning the stolen items!! Solid Intel and solid bust.”

LeadsOnline’s investigative system assists lieutenant in bringing true justice

“I had a burglary/theft case involving a $900.00 lawn mower. I got a hit from LeadsOnline. Three days later I traveled to the suspect’s work an hour away from my jurisdiction and convinced him to talk with me in my vehicle. I received a full confession and the suspect agreed that the victim should not have to pay for the mower at the business. The suspect and I traveled to the business where he paid the owed money and I took possession of the stolen mower. I allowed the victim to speak with the suspect over my speaker phone during which the thief confessed and begged for forgiveness. So in conclusion, the thief is caught and the victim is out nothing at all, which in Missouri doesn’t happen. Oh, the victim still wants to press the charges. It was a Good Day.”

Ohio police recover precious metals with nationwide online database

“A victim reported he had two rings stolen by a known suspect. The suspect’s information was entered into LeadsOnline by name and nothing was located. Fifteen days after the reported theft, the suspect was checked again by her driver’s license number. On this search, LeadsOnline indicated a positive hit. The hit showed that the suspect pawned the rings eight days after they were stolen. The rings were located at the provided location, and the victim was notified. After the victim arrived at our Police Station and identified the rings, the suspect was charged with two counts of theft and two receiving stolen property offenses. Virginia Police solve crimes in less time

“I was investigating a stolen property case that consisted of a stolen Stihl chainsaw, Stihl pole saw, heavy duty impact sockets and a portable wheeled battery charger. The items were taken from a business located in the County. Save time investigating property crimes and still catch the crooks

“We had been hit with a series of 14 residential break-ins when I was introduced to LeadsOnline by a detective from our local Sheriff’s Office. So I decided to sign up for a trial with since I had a couple suspects and serial numbers for some items. The first time I logged in, I closed 7 of my 14 break-ins.
